The World Fish Migration Day is a one day global-local event to create awareness on the importance of open rivers and migratory fish. On World Fish Migration Day organizations from around the world organize their own event around the common theme of: connecting fish, rivers and people.

09/03/2018 – Unveiling of the Isola Serafini navigation lock

The presentation of the new Isola Serafini navigation lock on the Po river will take place on board an equipped motorboat on Friday 23 March 2018 at 2.30pm in the town of Monticelli D'Ongina (Piacenza).
The lock, which allows you to travel from Piacenza to the Adriatic Sea, is included in the INIWAS Project, funding a total of EUR 46,414,000, is aimed at removing six physical bottlenecks along the inland waterways of Northern Italy, and is co-financed by the European Commission (20%) under the CEF Programme.
